Terms and conditions
Late policy
If you think you are going to be late, please notify me as soon as possible by call or text. Clients are responsible for the time they reserve for their appointment. If you are late, the session will still end at the designated time with no change in fee. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, I may not be able to proceed with the session, and the full fee will still be payable.
Cancellation policy
When booking an appointment, you are reserving my time specifically for your session. My practice is often fully booked, with a waiting list, so I require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations.
For cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice or for missed appointments, the full session fee is payable.
If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, please contact me by telephone or text at 07851 307 062 or email.
Clients who repeatedly cancel or reschedule appointments may be required to pay in full at the time of booking to secure future sessions.
Thank you for understanding and respecting my time.
Clinic Appointments
All sessions are held in person at The Harbourside Practice in Redcliffe or The Practice Rooms on Queen Square, Bristol. If you wish to switch from an in-person session to an online session, please notify me at least 24 hours in advance. Please note that if we switch from an in-person session to an online session, I may not be able to see you at the exact same time, as I may not have access to a computer or a secure/stable internet connection at that moment.
Online hypnotherapy sessions are conducted via Google Meet, and you will receive a meeting link before your session. Please ensure you have a stable internet connection, a quiet, private space, and a comfortable, non-swivel chair. Your video must remain on throughout, though I will turn mine off during hypnosis. To maintain focus, please close other programs, silence notifications, and keep pets out of the room.

Initial Consultations
The initial consultation lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes. During this session, we will discuss the issues you wish to address, your goals, and how hypnotherapy may help. I will explain what hypnosis is, what to expect from the process, and what will be required of you during and between sessions to ensure the best results.
This consultation also serves as an opportunity to determine whether hypnotherapy is the right approach for you. There is no obligation to continue beyond this session. If I believe you would benefit more from another therapist or therapeutic approach, I will let you know either during or after the session.
If recordings are provided for reinforcement, they are for personal use only and must not be shared or reproduced. Recordings are typically sent via WeTransfer, as they are often too large to attach to an email. Please check your spam folder if you don’t see the email, as automated links sometimes get filtered. The download link will expire within 3 to 7 days, so please download your recording as soon as you receive it. Once sent, I delete the file from my phone and computer, and I will not be able to resend it.

Confidentiality
All information shared, whether spoken or written, is treated with the strictest confidentiality. However, there are legal and ethical exceptions to confidentiality. If there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or others, or if child protection concerns arise, I am required to take appropriate action. If such a situation occurs, I will discuss it with you whenever possible and explain the reasons for any necessary steps.
Your records are stored securely in accordance with professional and legal requirements. Notes are kept for 8 years and then securely destroyed.
Data usage
The information you provide is essential for assessing your needs and creating an effective treatment plan. Under GDPR regulations, your data is securely stored and used only for therapy-related purposes.
If you have opted into my mailing list or book a free 15 minute chat through the website, your name, email address and phone number will be stored with the website host Squarespace, which is bound by strict GDPR regulations. Your data will never be shared with third parties beyond what is explicitly stated here.
Commitment
Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process. While I will provide guidance and support, I cannot guarantee specific outcomes. Your progress depends on your engagement with the process, including practicing the techniques discussed in sessions.
Contraindications
Some medical conditions require approval from your doctor before beginning hypnotherapy. If a condition is present that may affect treatment, I reserve the right to decline therapy. Some diagnosed conditions may require a letter from your doctor confirming that hypnotherapy is suitable for you.
Conduct
To maintain a professional and respectful environment, I reserve the right to refuse therapy if a client behaves inappropriately or attends a session under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Online sessions must be paid for in advance using debit/credit cards, PayPal, Google Pay, or Apple Pay via the payment link in your booking confirmation email.
For clinic sessions, you can pay in advance the same way or at your appointment using cash, debit/credit cards, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.
Courses are booked as events, with payment processed through Eventbrite checkout on my website.
Services for hypnotherapists must be paid in advance, either through the payment link in your booking confirmation.
