I offer a free, no-obligation, 15-minute phone consultation to help us assess compatibility and determine if hypnotherapy is the right path for you. During the conversation, we'll discuss what you hope to achieve through hypnotherapy and any potential contraindications to therapy to ensure your safety and wellbeing. I'll also outline my approach to hypnotherapy and answer any questions you have about the process. We can schedule an initial consultation if we both feel confident and comfortable that hypnotherapy will benefit you.
Initial Consultation for Hypnotherapy
Upon booking, you will receive a booking confirmation email along with a health and wellbeing questionnaire for you to complete and return to me before your appointment. This allows me to customise the initial consultation to suit your specific needs and frees up more time during our first meeting to delve deeper into the presenting issue.
The comprehensive 1.5-hour session is tailored to provide an in-depth exploration of the challenges you seek to overcome. Together, we'll delve into how these issues impact your daily life and envision the positive changes you aspire to achieve.
During our time together, we'll map out your goals for hypnotherapy and establish clear, measurable indicators of success. By identifying potential obstacles, we'll strategise and develop effective techniques to surmount them, ensuring your progress is steady and sustainable.
Drawing from the realms of psychology and neuroscience, I will offer valuable insights into your specific situation. This knowledge will empower you with a deeper understanding of your experiences, illuminating the path towards lasting transformation.
Furthermore, our session will provide an extensive exploration of hypnosis and hypnotherapy. Through engaging imagination experiments, you'll witness first-hand the remarkable power of suggestion and the boundless potential of your imagination. I will guide you through a brief hypnosis experience, demonstrating a simple yet effective method of going in and out of hypnosis, learning to harness the strength of your imagination, focus your attention and leverage suggestions for your benefit. I'll explain how you can do this for yourself, equipping you with a self-hypnosis process that you will further refine and develop in subsequent sessions. This practice will serve as the cornerstone of your continued progress. All of this is available to you for just £125. There's no obligation to commit to further sessions. Still, I'm confident you'll find this initial consultation profoundly beneficial, setting the stage for a remarkable journey of self-discovery and positive change. The initial consultation is essential to create a treatment plan tailored to your needs so you can make remarkable changes and achieve your goals.
In subsequent sessions, we will use hypnotherapy to focus your mind positively on the issues you would like to deal with, equipping you with the skills to help yourself improve. During the first part of each session, we'll talk about the progress you have made. I'll encourage you to express yourself positively, focusing on solutions rather than dwelling on problems. We will discuss what you want from the session, setting goals where appropriate, learning further ways to relax if required, and how to get your thoughts under control and use your imagination positively. During hypnosis, you'll sit in a chair as I guide you through an enjoyable process. I'll use imagery, metaphors, and suggestions to leave you feeling positive, confident, and motivated, helping you change your life.
The day after each session, you will receive an email from me with further reading and details of what we went through during the session so that you can use it to guide you through the process for yourself and so that you have access to the tools and techniques we went through for reference after our sessions together have finished.
Many people believe that hypnotherapy is something that is "done" to them, that they explain their problems to their hypnotherapist, who then hypnotises them away, as if by magic. But this is not the case. Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process, and it is essential to understand that change happens because you want it to and are prepared to take the necessary steps to allow it to happen.
You will be required to practice the tools and techniques that I teach you to ensure you get the most from our sessions together and so that you can support yourself in the future.
Hypnotherapy Sessions in Bristol and Online
Usually, therapy sessions occur every other week, and the number of sessions needed depends on the individual situation. Although I do not impose a specific number of sessions, I suggest committing to at least four sessions. This will provide a strong foundation and allow us to cover a range of techniques tailored to your specific needs. Typically, clients see me for four to six sessions, but it ultimately depends on individual goals and progress. You may be surprised at how quickly hypnotherapy can help you get back on track, so the goal is to help you reach your desired outcome as efficiently as possible.
